Dr. Rikesh A. Patel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in podiatric medicine and surgery as a fellow for Northern Illinois Foot and Ankle Specialists. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology with a minor in Public Health at the University of South Florida and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree at Barry University.
Dr. Patel was the Chief Resident at Palmetto General, Hialeah & Coral Gables Hospital. He further honed his skills as a podiatric surgeon at Advent Health and The Ankle & Foot Center of Central Florida.
Dr. Patel is board-qualified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot & Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Academy of Foot & Ankle Surgeons.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Patel is deeply committed to community service. He has volunteered to conduct essential foot exams and screenings for underserved communities in the United States and internationally.
Dr. Patel is proficient in English, Gujarati, and Spanish, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient population. He takes the time to understand patient needs and customizes his approach to provide comprehensive, compassionate care.
When he is not working, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, trying new foods, cheering on his Tampa Bay sports teams, and spending time with family, friends, and his puppies, Dosa and Pickles.
